Insulation

PROTECTS AGAINST ALL FORMS OF HEAT TRANSFER

Fiberglass Insulation

Formaldehyde free climate blow-in loose-fill fiberglass insulation is a premium alternative to cellulose. It’s blown into attics, non-conforming spaces and hard-to-reach areas, like corners, edges and around framing. When it’s applied to the recommended thickness and specifications, you can be assured that your home is energy-efficient, with minimal heat loss. And unlike cellulose, it won’t appreciably settle, decay, or provide food for animals or microbes.  It’s effective for the life of your home.

Cellulose Insulation

The cellulose insulation provides outstanding thermal performance, sound control performance and is fire resistant. Cellulose insulation provides an outstanding barrier against air infiltration by filling gaps and voids. Consisting of 85% recycled content.

Roll-In Insulation

Formaldehyde free climate blow-in loose-fill fiberglass insulation is a premium alternative to cellulose. It’s blown into attics, non-conforming spaces and hard-to-reach areas, like corners, edges and around framing. When it’s applied to the recommended thickness and specifications, you can be assured that your home is energy-efficient, with minimal heat loss. And unlike cellulose, it won’t appreciably settle, decay, or provide food for animals or microbes.  It’s effective for the life of your home.

Abatement

OLD INSULATION REMOVAL

Asbestos removal and soiled rodent clean up. There’s various reasons why you should remove old attic insulation. If your home was built before 1970, there’s an increased chance of having asbestos in the attic. Certified specialist must be used when handling this substance. Another common reason for removing old insulation is when rodents get into the attic and nest. The smell of ammonia can soak into the ceiling of your home and permeate the house if left unchecked. Abatement should include disinfectant spraying in these cases.

Attic Insulation Removal

Don't risk the effectiveness of your attic insulation

Old attic insulation is often inefficient and could lead to unnecessarily high energy bills. Dirty attic insulation, on the other hand, could have been the result of pests like rodents and birds that contaminated the insulation, which can lead to an unhealthy home. If either of these situations are the case, it’s time to remove insulation from attic spaces to maximize the safety and energy-efficiency of your house.

Poly Air Sealing

REDUCE DRAFTS AND COLD SPOTS

Reduced air leakage is controlled ventilation. Before air sealing, it’s best to detect where air leaks are. This is best to do after abatement since the attic has been clear of all insulation and debris. Insulation workers can air seal crack sand penetrations on the inside surface of exterior walls, ceilings and floors to prevent air from  escaping into the walls and roof.

Extrusion Sealing

EXTERIOR PENETRATIONS

Protect your attic from rodents and animals. While some holes are meant to serve as ventilation for your attic, most extrusions are made by utility services. Your average cable or internet service installer often drills holes to run wires into your house. Animals may claw at and expand those penetrations and infest your attic. We can add metal screens over crucial ventilation points and properly seal utility penetrations as well as other gaps.

Radiant Barrier

HELPS REDUCE COOLING COSTS

Retro fit radiant barrier is similar to new construction roofing which is already made with radiant barrier on the decking. To save money and not replace a good roof that doesn’t already have radiant barrier. The barriers consist of a highly reflective material that reflects radiant heat rather than absorbing it and is installed on the attic ceiling. They don’t, however, reduce heat conduction like thermal insulation materials which is why attic insulation is necessary.

Retrofit Radiant Barrier

MAY REDUCE RADIANT HEAT BY UP TO 80%

Keep heat in during the winter and out in the summer. Primarily used to reduce summer heat gain and reduce cooling costs. The highly reflective material that reflects radiant heat rather than absorbing it can be added to the interior of your existing roof. Radiant heat refers to heat radiated from objects and materials, such as clay and cement roofing tiles or the sun. Radiant heat moves through the air without heating the air, instead it will heat the first surface that it touches, and this surface will re-radiate that heat in the space making it feel warmer when you are in that space.

Weather Stripping

Reduce drafts & heat loss

Prevent rain and water from entering. The most common form of weather stripping used is foam tape. Placed around door jams and meeting points of walls and entry points to reroute water as well as keeping interior air in. Door sweeps are generally vinyl or silicone and are placed along the bottom of exterior doors to reduce drafts and add a barrier against rodents.
